Vilma blouse ochre embroidery
This blouse is made out of the softest undyed regenerative organic cotton and a lot of love. The fabric is woven in a satin weave, which gives it a subtle shine and an overall luxurious feel. On the back of the blouse and both cuffs you will find the hand-embroidered stories of a Peruvian indigenous artisans. Because it is hand made, each embroidery will be slightly different. Making every blouse an unique piece.
 
It has a straight fit with half balloon sleeves. The cuff has pleated details. This blouse fits a bit bigger, go for a size smaller than your regular size.

    THE STORY BEHIND

    The artisans 

    ​

    The embroideries are handmade by a women-led association named "El arte de bordar en El Colca" located in Yanque, Arequipa. 

     

    With their work they want to pass on the practice of embroidery.  This beautiful figures and spiral shapes have meanings and translations that come from the ancient incas and represent the local flora and fauna of the environment.

    Talented Peruvian craftsperson in traditional attire, skillfully crafting detailed embroideries using a sewing machine.
